Legend tells of Princess Naupaka and her beloved Kauʻi, whose love was forbidden. Heartbroken, Naupaka cried to the heavens, and the gods—moved by her sorrow—separated the lovers. The naupaka flower transformed that day, blooming only half a blossom in the mountains and the other by the sea.

This original Green Ti design is made in light of this legend with a horizon filling the other half of the flower; representing sunrise and sunset.. symbolizing hope, and the connection parted lovers continue to have each day. As long as the sun rises and sets. A love parted yet forever connected.
